Celebrations in School

Today school function from 7.30am to 12 noon.They are celebrating chinese new year.All pupils have to wear traditional clothings if they have.If not,they have to wear school uniform.Her traditional clothing has become small and mummy did not buy any for her so has to wear uniform to school.Mummy tie a "traditional" hairstyle for me.
No traditional clothes never mind,I am a traditional girl.

Happy Birthday My Dear!

8 years ago,she was born.This year is a special and meaningful day as chinese new year is the same date as 8 years ago.1st day of chinese new year is also fall on the 23rd of Jan and this day I was discharge from hospital.Started my confinement on the 1st day of chinese new year.

I prepared some goodies bags for the student care children.Bring her for dinner at Swensens.Order a happy birthday ice cream for her too.She is happy so do we.

I ask her how old is she now and she tell me she is 8 years old.What shall a 8 years old girl have to do,I ask? Be a good,well behave,listen to daddy & mummy little girl.

Early Birthday Celebrations

We had a small birthday party celebrations for her yesterday evening.Invited only her good friends.
It's her 8th birthday.My little princess has grown up.Wish her grow up healthy,happy and study .
hard for her studies.

Art Craft-Dragon

This is her art & craft from school.A dragon using ang baos.You may not be able to see the eyes,mouth,teeths of the dragon which use maker to draw because the ang bao has too many design on it.

Student Leader

Last evening,she brought back a letter from school.What is the letter about? Is it about the approval letter to be a prefect.

She was so happy to tell me that school has given her the letter.She asked me whether will I approve to let her be prefect?I did not answer her question.

Criteria for nomination:

1. Pupils must complete and hand in all written assignments on time.
2. Pupils must have good conduct and a positive work attitude.
3. Pupils should be confident and exhibit leadership qualities.
4. Pupils should be a good role models for their peers.

Being a prefect is her dream so I "warn" her that I want her to have good results this year if not I will ask her teacher to remove the student leader role from her.

Home Party for Her

Exactly 1 more weeks and she turns 8.We will be celebrateing her birthday this coming sunday with a few of her good friends.A cake and some homecooked food for her mini party.
As chinese new year is around the corner,everyone is busy preparing for the day so decided not to invite relatives.Hope that she will enjoy the company of her friends,together celebrating for her.

I will also prepare some goodies bags for the student care students.This is requested by her.These goodies bags will given out to the students on the actual day of her birthday.

School Bus Late

This is the 2nd weeks of school and the arriving of school bus still very late.The timing for the school bus to reach our destination should be 6.50pm to 6.55pm and the latest is 7pm as sometimes traffic jam.But these 2 days it come at 7.10pm to 7.15pm.
Last evening,I checked with aunti why is it so late as compare to last year.She explained that this year there were many Primary one classes and the new students queue at the wrong queue.There are also 3-4 more destination for the bus to stop.Some parents never come down to wait for their kids on time.It have to take sometimes for the new students to adapt.
Last year P1 were not like that.(Maybe last year children are more alert and smart hahaha)Hope that this evening the bus will come the latest 7pm.If not she will have to do her homework until very late :(

IT Learning

She goes to school early this morning.She has to reach school at 9 sharp as she will be attending an IT Learning which the school organised.This is the 2nd time she attend this 3 hours short workshop.The 1st time is in P1 which is last year.
I give her more money as she has to have her lunch in school too.After the class,she has to eat her lunch in school.I ask her to have rice instead of noodle.She is in the 2nd recess which start at 4pm to 4.30pm.She will feel hungry if she has noodles for lunch.I let her bring bread for her recess.

She is the Buddy

Times flies!She is in P2 this year and she is the buddy to primary 1 pupil.A primary 1 boy will follow her for 2 days during recess.She ask the boy what he want to eat?He tell her that he want to have macaroni.He go to the stall to buy himself but is very hot so she help him to take.She ask him do he want to go toilet but he say don't want.
This year all the P2 are buddies to P1 students.Last year when she in P1 those upper primary students are their buddies.Maybe this year they have a new principle.

I never think that she will be the buddy of P1 student.I also never think that she knows how to take care of the P1.So proud of her.

What has She been doing ?

For the past one and a half months of school holidays,what has she been doing? PLAY through the entire break? NO,NO,No....of course not.

She is doing well in her tests in primary one so there are rewards for her.Mummy promise to buy her a better pencil case if she done well in her tests.Daddy promise to buy her story books if she done well in her tests.She has both things when results is out.

We went for a short trip right after the holidays beings.Although is a 3 days trips,we still enjoyed ourselves,especially Val.Beside the trips,student care has many activities for them too.She also has her 1st x'mas celebrations at the student care.We also bring her for a swim which she has requested us for a long long time.

Beside play,there is also work done at home.

• she has learn all her times tables from 2 to 10
• finish up her Pri 1 assessment books
• already start on the Pri 2 assessment books
• Times (need to revise again with her. really hope that she did not forget)
• practice hard on her piano.There is exam in grade 1 (since she is in grade 1 now.song getting more difficult)
• She knows how to play badminton.We have been bringing her downstairs to play with her(she receive 2 rackets as her x'mas present from daddy)

School will re-open on Tuesday.A brand new day for her.Mummy really hopes that she will work hard in 2012.Of course Primary 2 will be more difficult than Primary 1.I hopes that she will be as good as she is in primary 1.I want to see her go up the stage again to receive certificate.

B.L.A.D.E

Bring her for rollerblading.Has not been blade for quite a while.The standard is still there.The next thing that she will be learning is cycling.She still can't balance herself on the bicycle.Try harder in 2012.
