Parents-Teacher Meeting Session on 05/30

This is the 1st meeting session in 2009.We ahve our meeting @ 11am but we have to wait for 15-20mins for our turns to come.

What did her teachers comments about her?

From her form teacher aka her English teacher-

• she has no confident of herself when came to speaking.If she don't know how to do her worksheet,she go to her teacher & put her worksheet infront of her without saying anything.( I guess maybe she don't know how to express herself in English that why she has no confident & that why most of the time she will just keep quite & keep to herself)
• She able to read 2-3 letters words.
• She has great social skills
• Her language and literacy skills have improved over time
• She can finish her lunch by herself and can feed her friends if her friend not yet finish.
• She can sleep by herself .Miss Dolly don't need to pay much attendtion to her.
• She is a well behave gal in class.She pay attendtion in class when teacher is teaching.Miss Dolly let those kids that don't pay attendtion & are naughty to sit infront.She in turn has to sit behind but this make her to disturb her friends.hahaha...

From her Maths & Science teacher(Mdm Lim)

• able to recognise numbers 1-30 which her teacher has taught them by now.Will teach them 30-50 by mid june.
• able to write the numbers well and improve .(previously she kept mixing up 6 & 9)
• she tends to forget her numbers when come to descending & ascending orders.(example _ _ 15,16 _,17 those 2 numbers infront she will not able to fill in.has to count fr the beinging)
• they soon going to teach additions in school,follow by subtractions.They will do it start with 10.(example 10-2=8 /4+6=10)
• they have start teaching on money.able to name the value of the money(example 20cents,50cents,$2)
• able to count

From her chinese teacher(李老师)

• good comments from her chinese teacher
• pay attendtion in class
• positive learning
• handwritting is neat
• she likes and enjoy chinese
• can express herself well(this is just the opposite of her english)
• she like to recite the 儿歌 and the rest of her friends will follow to recite.She will recite all the 儿歌 loud and clear.
• Her memory is good.
• Able to make sentence using words that teacher ask them to make.
• Able to look at the picture to make sentence and in complete sentences.(example 她在照镜子 but some kids may just say 照镜子 which is not correct)

李老师 will focus on hanyu pin yin in K2 and will also focus on writting sentences.I think this is a good one so that they will not panic when going to P1 in 2 yrs times.This will also strengthen their chinese.

Like Father Like Daughter

Look at them!She has to follow him to carry her bag on the right hand side of her shoulder.She has to hold his hand and walk together.Look at them!Right leg out,follow by left leg.Exactly the same.Like father Like daughter.Sigh...

Our Fishes

Our Fishes,Val's pet ,have gone on Monday nite after I help them bathe in a clean water.Val was very sad :(( When I first saw 1 of them upside down and not swimming,Val was very angry and shouted out.The next morning,3 of them say goodbye together to us.I ,the Mummy felt guilty.If I did not bathe for them ,they will not...felt sad...tears coming down...my fault...

Still remember when daddy agreed to buy fishes for her,she was so happy & excited.The fishes were with us for 1 and half weeks.

She Knows MAGIC

Last nite we on the air con and let her sleeps in our room with us.In the middle of the nite,daddy carry her back to her room and off the air con .This morning,I asked her why is she in her room and not on our bed this room?How she go back to her room?And she reply me that she knows MAGIC.I laughing away.I did not expect her give me such reply.I thought she will say that she walk back to her room by herself.

We were in the car and I ask her the same question again.And again she told me that she know MAGIC and she fly back to her room and some more she the action of FLYING using her hands.She really funny.Sometimes I find her really 搞笑.Answers that she give you may not be what you expected.

Card For My dear Mummy

She made this card all by herself.I don't understand why she has to paste the name card on it???Anyway,she made it with her heart and a surprise for me.Did you notice the word she written on the card.I love you,I love you too .I know what she meant,deep inside my heart.Thank you Val for the card.Mummy love you too.

Cut & Paste

She cut out all these by herself and paste on the paper.She cut out these from a brouche.I taught her to write sentence to describle the picture.

She is the ONE

She went jogging with daddy.She ran 3 rounds.Maybe she will be an athlete in future...hahaha....

At TCC

Daddy went for wedding dinner tonite so Ah ma,yiyi,mummy & myself went out shopping together.We have a great time.After shopping ,we went to TCC to have a cup of coffee and a piece of cake.I order a piece of strawberry yogurt cake for myself.Look at my eating expression,so funny.After finish,we take the train back home.

Field Trip to Supermarket(NTUC) @ Bukit Panjang Plaza

As part of the theme in May-Civic Amenities,they are planning a trip to the NTUC Supermarket.They were learn who are the people who work in the supermarket and what are they call.As they also covering the topic on money in Math,they are allow to purchase an item on their OWN at the supermarket.Parents have to give their children $2 for this field trip.

Let see what has she bought fromn the supermarket?She bought a packet of Twisties and YANYAN strawberry sticks.She has eaten the YANYAN in school which share among her friends.She spend $1.95 in all.She get back 5 cents change.Each kid can buy 2 items from their $2.She is not the only one who used the $2 to buy tibits.

This is another song taught by her teacher.Whenever her teacher taught them a new song,on that day she will sing to us.

老师教他们儿歌,她可以一字不漏地背给我们听.

考脑力

有时她喜欢考验我的脑力,问我 一些很久以前的事情,我那儿还能记得.我有太多生活 上琐碎的事要去记.有时我真地忘记带一些东西, 她就会说我为什么 又忘记拿或带那样东西. 她就像个管家婆 .

Friday nite(15/05) daddy & Val pick me up at the car park near our hse.The moment I get into the car,Val say to me that she has a surprise for me.What surprise did she have for me??It's a heart shape that she made all by herself.Daddy told me that the moment she reach home,she has started to do this.She say to me:She Miss Mummy.So touching...

New Member

Look at our new member in the house.Hahaha...the new member is our FISHES.Daddy bought 4 fishes for Val.Daddy helps to find out the name of the fishes.Their name is Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon Innesi).Val like her new pet.

(Beautiful, kind, playful, spectacular, low cost fish but they can be quite picky about their environment and difficult to keep alive. Probably one of the most popular community fish on the market. We have yet to see a fish shop that doesn't carry them. They are quite small however so you will need to be careful that you do not keep them with larger fish that may gobble them up. We strongly recommend purchasing six or more of these schooling fish to achieve the greatest viewing pleasure as they swim back and forth around your tank following each other from one end to the other. Be careful when introducing these fish to your aquarium. They will quickly die if they are not slowly acclimated to a well established aquarium. )

Cleaning the Table

As Mummy no need to work today(11/05),a replacement holiday for Vesak Day,we stay at home and Mummy cook porridge for my lunch.After I had finished my porridge,I helped to clean the table and clean my mouth myself.
Mummy was in the kitchen,I went to call Mummy to come out and take a look.

V:Mummy...you come out and see.
M:see what??
Mummy shout again
M:have you finished your porridge?
I walk out from the kitchen and take a look of what she has done.
V:I help you clean the table...I use tissue paper to clean and use tissue to clean my mouth also.

I was surprise that she know how to do it w/o me telling her to do so.(I was laughing away when I know that she use tissue to clean)I show her the piece of cloth that use to clean the table.I also not forgetting to praise her for helping me :)
